Nurse Delegator

We are seeking a competent Registered Nurse to join our team. Under the Washington State Nurse Delegation Program, nursing assistants can perform certain skilled nursing tasks under the delegation of a Registered Nurse. The Registered Nurse Delegator conducts training, delegation, and supervision of nursing assistants in community-based care settings. This role is crucial in ensuring the health and safety of clients receiving care in their own homes. Details

Flexible Schedule

Responsibilities:

· Train and delegate nursing assistants to conduct skilled nursing tasks, such as medication administration, blood glucose monitoring, and tube feeding

· Conduct initial and quarterly assessments of clients and their caregivers

· Conduct annual skin assessments of diabetic and wheelchair bound clients

· Proctor tests qualifying nursing assistants to receive nurse delegation

· Disseminate best nursing practices based on current evidence

· Provide ongoing support to caregivers, clients, and their families

 

Requirements:

· Registered Nurse (RN) License in the State of Washington

· Strong organizational, supervisory, and communication skills

· Ability to work independently and as part of a small team

· Reliable transportation and active driver’s license
